Dual Heat Source System for Continuous, 24-Hour Power
Dual Heat Source Collector and Dual Heat Source Energy System
Tags: National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, Energy & Environment, Infrastructure, Utilities & Communications
This technology introduces a dual heat source energy system that uses both sunlight and auxiliary combustion to power a Stirling engine for continuous electricity generation. When solar energy is insufficient, the system switches to a clean combustion heat source to maintain power output. Applications include consistent power generation in areas with fluctuating sunlight. The system provides a more stable alternative to conventional solar-only systems by eliminating reliance on energy storage. It also ensures 24-hour electricity generation, improving energy reliability.
