The innovation introduces flexible, stretchable surface electrodes embedded in thin polymers that conform to the brain's contours, improving signal acquisition for better localisation of neurological problem zones. This advancement reduces the craniotomy area required for neuro-surgery, lowering associated costs and enhancing patient outcomes. Applications include diagnostics and treatment of epilepsy, stroke, and other neuro-disorders. A proof of concept has been successfully demonstrated for EEG signal acquisition. This technology addresses a critical healthcare gap, significantly impacting public health by making neuro-surgeries more affordable.
