An improved industrial ventilation exhaust fan has been developed using a surface permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) with low-cost ferrite magnets. This design enhances energy efficiency to over 85%, significantly reducing operating costs compared to conventional single-phase induction motors. The use of ferrite magnets lowers production costs while maintaining high performance. The fan is ideal for industrial ventilation, energy management, and HVAC systems. A prototype has been developed and tested in a simulated laboratory environment.
