High-Efficiency Stirling Engine with Swiss Roll Combustor
Stirling Engine Power Drive by Swiss Roll Combustors Output System
Tags: National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, Energy & Environment, Industrial Automation & Manufacturing
This technology is a Stirling engine power generation system that delivers 16W of electrical power output under normal pressure conditions, outperforming existing market solutions. It integrates a newly designed Swiss roll combustor with a nano-platinum catalyst that efficiently burns low-order gaseous fuels like biogas, natural gas, and synthetic gas at low temperatures. The combustor's dual spiral tunnel design and pin-fin structure enhance heat transfer and reduce thermal resistance. The system’s compact form factor allows it to support green technology policies by using biomass fuels for sustainable energy generation. Applications include biogas power plants, gasification biomass projects, and distributed power systems for environmental sustainability.
