A transformer-less multilevel inverter system has been developed to enhance capacitor balancing in neutral point clamped (NPC) inverters using a level doubling network (LDN) and a non-isolated buck-boost converter. The topology replaces conventional H bridges with a three-phase T-type NPC converter, resulting in a high-resolution output and improved efficiency. It reduces component count while maintaining high power quality and reliability. The system also addresses capacitor imbalance issues arising from LDN operation. Applications include energy management, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), and motor speed control.
