This technology reviews the effectiveness of quality improvement processes, interventions, and structures in trauma systems within low and middle-income countries (LMICs). The study shows that implementing pre-hospital trauma systems and training first responders can significantly reduce trauma mortality by up to 45%. Certified in-hospital trauma training further reduces mortality by 29%, while trauma audits and protocols provide varying improvements. Applications include enhancing trauma care in LMICs through structured interventions and training programs. The meta-analysis underscores the importance of developing efficient trauma systems to save lives in resource-limited settings.
