A low-cost battery-powered loader has been developed using scrap steel and vehicle materials to address transportation challenges faced by farmers in rural Tamil Nadu. Capable of carrying up to 500 kg of goods, the vehicle provides a sustainable and affordable alternative to diesel-powered transport, significantly reducing costs and improving farmer profits. Applications include transporting agricultural produce, animal fodder, and other goods to local markets efficiently. This innovation combines waste-to-value principles with rural sector relevance, promoting environmental sustainability and social impact. The electric loader operates at a safe speed of under 20 km/h and aspires to scale adoption and integrate robotics for future advancements.
