This technology introduces a metallo-supramolecular branched polymer (MSBP) that enhances the quality of Cryo-Electron Microscope (Cryo-EM) sample preparation by mitigating particle trapping at the air-water interface (AWI) and reducing preferred particle orientation. By improving particle distribution and protecting samples from AWI, MSBP increases resolution and map quality in Cryo-EM studies without requiring hardware modifications. Applications include structural biology and advanced imaging research, where precise particle behavior in vitreous ice is critical. The technology is protected by a submitted patent application, enabling the development of reagent kits for Cryo-EM sample preparation. It addresses a significant bottleneck in Cryo-EM, making sample preparation simpler and more reliable.
