Optimise Protection from Radiation for Astronauts
Method and Data Acquisition Database Of Bio-Paddle in the KIBO ISS Module for Long Term Space Flight During the Solar Minimum
Tags: Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia, Science & Exploration, Computing Technology
Researchers have developed a unique database and methods for optimizing ISS crew radiation protection during solar minimums. This allows for precise measurement of radiation doses inside the ISS, enhancing safety and efficiency with an automated monitoring system. The database could reshape radiation protection programs, using minimal payloads for data acquisition, recognized by JAXA and NASA. It aims to mitigate long-term health risks for crew members from chronic radiation exposure. The innovation holds significant potential for future space radiation research and safety standards.
