Optimized PEGylation for Stable & Cost-Effective Biologics
PEGylation to Enhance Pharmacokinetic Properties of Proteins
Tags: IIT Delhi, India, Healthcare & Lifesciences
An improved PEGylation process has been developed to enhance the pharmacokinetic properties of biotherapeutic proteins by increasing stability, solubility, and circulation half-life. Unlike existing methods with lengthy purification and low productivity, this technology efficiently removes multi-PEGylated impurities, reducing reaction times and improving resin utilization. It integrates seamlessly into existing manufacturing processes, enabling higher productivity and cost efficiency. The process is applicable to cytokines, growth factors, and other therapeutic proteins. It has been tested at the lab scale for granulocyte-colony stimulating factor.
