Protect Storage Media from Corrosion at Low Temperature
Corrosion Protection Layer For Magnetic Recording Media
Tags: National University of Singapore, Singapore, Computing Technology, Energy & Environment
This invention introduces a low-temperature method to fabricate ultra-thin graphene-based corrosion protection layers for hard disks, enhancing storage density. Utilizing laser-based chemical vapor deposition, it deposits layers at temperatures below 300°C, preserving the magnetic properties. This process reduces energy consumption compared to traditional methods and allows for greater data storage capacity.
