Carbon fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP) lose strength upon recycling due to misaligned fibres. A hydromagnetic fibre alignment machine (HMFAM) has been developed to realign recycled fibres. This process allows for control over the fibre characteristics, achieving up to 60% fibre volume. Re-manufactured composites retain up to 50% of the original strength. The technology promises new applications in various industries, such as for wind turbine, automotive, aerospace, sporting equipment, mining and defense parts.
