The Freestanding Carbon Nanotube (CNT) Sheet is a material that translates the exotic properties of individual CNTs into a macro-scale form, offering exceptional mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. Produced through a simple and scalable Floating Catalyst Chemical Vapour Deposition (FC-CVD) process, these sheets are lightweight, strong, and have a high surface area. Applications include high-strength composites, EMI shielding, supercapacitors, battery electrodes, and biosensors. The process involves synthesizing CNT aerogel, which is then converted into CNT sheets using a rotating drum in an inert atmosphere, making it cost-effective and efficient for mass production.
