The novel VSR technology enhances low-resolution videos to high resolution, optimizing smart parking with AI-driven car plate recognition. It's applied in car parks for vehicle tracking and parking space management within smart cities. This VSR approach, called VistGAN, employs GANs to ensure temporal consistency in video quality improvement. With this tech, fewer cameras are needed, reducing costs and allowing flexible installation. Its future integration with IoT and edge computing promises real-time, on-site video processing.
