Tags: CSIR Labs, India, Industrial Automation & Manufacturing, Agriculture & Food
CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory [CSIR-NML]: This technology involves an improved water-cooled rotating wheel assembly designed for producing thin alloy strips with high cooling rates of 10²-10⁶ K/s. The design enhances mechanical stability and allows for the production of Fe, Ni, and Co-based magnetic amorphous strips with high surface quality. The wheel features customizable internal flow channels, enabling the production of metal strips with varying thicknesses and widths. This technology is applicable in engineering fields such as twin roll casting, extrusion coating, lamination, food processing and feed mills.
